Net.Belote is a freely distributed and multiplatform graphical software that provides a digital version of Belote, a 32-card trick-taking game played in France, but designed to be played by up to four players on a local area network (LAN) or over the Internet. The game uses a standard deck of playing cards with all 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 cards removed, resulting in a total of 32 cards. Players will sit opposite to each other and form two teams. It follows the official rules of the Belote card game. Unfortunately, the game is available for download only as a native installer for 32-bit (x86) installations of Ubuntu, Debian or any derivative. This means that if you run a 64-bit flavor of one of the aforementioned distributions, or any other GNU/Linux operating system that does not uses the DEB package management system, you won’t be able to install the game.
