Entrainer is an open source and multi-platform graphical application that makes use of sound, animations and light to entrain one's brain waves. It provides users with a customizable and portable graphical user interface that is easy to use and familiar. The program uses sine waves to generate binaural beat frequencies. While one of them is generated at a base frequency, the other one is generated at a greater frequency. The only difference between them is the entrainment frequency, which can be used to synchronize the app with the generated binaural beats. It can be easily programmed through XML files, which can be imported in any application that reads and edits XML (Extensible Markup Language). However, the application comes with its own XML editor tool that includes sample files.
