Klish stands for Kommand Line Interface Shell and it’s an open source, portable and free command-line software, a framework for implementing a CISCO-like CLI on UNIX-like operating systems, including all GNU/Linux platform. It is a fork of the clish application. The software is highly configurable through XML files, and provides a long list of attractive features, including namespaces or logically nested views, support for optional arguments, support for subcommands, and support for switching subcommands. Among other features, we can mention CISCO-like config support, a configuration daemon, support for nested parameters, support for namespaces with prefix, as well as the initial view redefinition function.
