Vortex Library is an open source, free and portable library software implemented in C and designed from the ground up to be used for implementing the BEEP Core protocol, also known as the RFC 3081 and RFC 3080 standard definitions, on GNU/Linux and UNIX-like systems. The Vortex Library project implements the BEEP Core protocol on top of the TCP/IP stack. It also implements a general BEEP server, as well as various BEEP stacks for the JavaScript and Python programming languages. Key features include support for the TUNNEL profile, support for HTTP proxies, and support for XML-RPC over BEEP RFC 3529. At the moment, Vortex Library is supported on all GNU/Linux distributions, as well as on the Microsoft Windows operating system, thoroughly tested on both 32-bit and 64-bit hardware platforms.
