GSmartControl is a free, open source, multiplatform and easy-to-use software project that has been designed from the ground up to act as a GUI (Graphical User Interface) front-end to the smartctl command-line utility on GNU/Linux systems and compatible platforms. smartctl is a CLI utility, distributed as part of the Smartmontools package, suitable for querying and controlling S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) data on modern hard disk drives (HDD). It is also compatible with SSD (Solid State Drive) storage devices.
