Netmate 0.2.0 Description:
Netmate is an open source, multiplatform, simple, easy-to-use, and free graphical software that displays network protocol headers in 32-bit aligned fields, exactly how they are represented in RFCs (Request for Comments). It is inspired by the Netdude software. You can use Netmate to teach and learn about network protocols, as well as to understand their collaboration and functionality. The application supports input files in pcap and pcap-ng formats, as they are generated by the Wireshark software, the tcpdump tool, or other app based on libpcap. The application supports a wide range of network protocols, among which we can mention Ethernet, SLL (Linux Cooked), ARP (Address Resolution Protocol), ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol), ICMPv6, IPv4, IPv6, TCP (Transmission Control Protocol), and UDP (User Datagram Protocol).
