Zero Install Injector 2.8 Description:
Zero Install Injector for Linux : A user-oriented decentralised software distribution for Linux operating systems.
Zero Install Injector is an open source, multiplatform and totally free graphical software project that has been crafted as a drop-in replacement for App Stores. It makes it possible for users to install software easily in their Linux and UNIX-like systems, without the need for root privileges. The program accomplishes its purpose by taking the URL of a program's interface description and choosing suitable versions of the respective program and all of its dependencies (also identified by URLs) according to the user's policy settings (eg. "stable", "testing", "minimal network use", etc). Among its features we can mention support for automatic updates, support for handling dependencies automatically, strong security using GPG signatures, supports shared binaries, supports shared cache, and itís decentralised, which means that it allows anyone to distribute software.
